Create a Cozy Backyard Retreat with a Custom Fire Pit

Custom fire pit with stone detailing

Fire pits are included in so many of the backyard landscapes we design and build at Eco Landscape. They are loved by our clients and always end up being the most used area of their space.

There's something undeniably captivating about gathering around a fire pit. The warmth, the flicker of the flames, and the soft glow all combine to create a cozy, inviting space in your backyard. Whether you’re hosting a party, enjoying an evening your family, or just unwinding after a long day, your fire pit area will become the magical element that will turn an ordinary night into something memorable. Even when the temperature drops, it’s a feature you’ll appreciate and use year-round.

Custom fire pits can be formed and poured in place from sand finish, smooth or board pressed concrete. We also often build them from block and stucco them, or covered them stone, adding a cap to the top. Tile detailing can also add a pop of color and pattern to your yard and tie into other areas within the space. For smaller spaces, we do also incorporate precast fire pits from time to time. Many of the fire pits we install have beautiful built-in couches around them as well making the space finished and designed.

And who says a fire pit is just for warmth? It can also be a fun, practical addition to your outdoor cooking repertoire - our kids favorite!!! Toasting marshmallows for s’mores is a classic fire pit tradition, but why stop there? You can let your kids grill hot dogs on a stick, make foil-wrapped meals (called “tin foil suprise” in our family), or even try your hand at fire-roasted vegetables. It adds a sense of adventure and excitement to outdoor meals that’s hard to beat.

Another great thing about fire pits is how easy they are to maintain. Most require little more than a rare clean-up, and with options like gas fire pits, you can enjoy the ambiance of a fire with the convenience of a quick start-up and no clean-up of ashes. Even traditional wood-burning fire pits don’t require much effort once the fire is going. Just light it, relax, and enjoy.

Please look through the projects shown throughout our website to see a variety of fire pit examples that we have designed and built for our clients. By custom building your fire pit we can make it exactly the right shape, size and style for your space. If you’ve been looking for a simple way to make your backyard more inviting, cozy, and functional, a fire pit might be the perfect solution! We hope that you will reach out to us if you would like a free consultation on where you can add a fire pit to your yard.
