Creating a conceptual landscape design for your project is our important first step together. With the creation of a landscape design, you will have a clear vision for your project and our builders will have a clear plan to build from.  It gives us a period of time to consider all of the variables of your space, to design a layout that best integrates all of the elements you would like to include, and to carefully select materials and plantings that compliment and transform your property. Being design build allows us to design with the builder’s input and build with the designer’s guidance. Our crew understands our design vision and they bring a level of expertise that improves every aspect of our installations.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN FAQ

1.  How long does the design phase take?

Depending on the size and scope of the project, our design phase usually takes 3-5 weeks.  

2.  Is there a fee for the design?

Yes, we do charge for the design, and the cost is based on the size and scope of your project. Our design agreement does include revisions. It is our goal to complete a design for you that you love, are excited to build and will enjoy for many years to come. 

3.  What is your design process?

During our initial consultation our goal is to see the site and review your hopes and dreams for your outdoor space. Equally as important is for you to get to know us - as having a good fit is so important! Based on this meeting, we will send you our Design Agreement outlining the scope of the project and our design fee for the plans for your approval. Once we begin we will measure your space and then create a 2D digital design plan for you with boards showing plant palettes and visual inspiration for hardscape areas as needed to bring the plan to life. During our design presentation to you, we will also have prepared a line itemed estimate for all areas of the design plan showing the cost of every element of your landscape design. In the revision stage we can add, remove or change elements on the plan to get things final and ready to build.

4.  Do you build other designers' plans ?

Yes. We are happy to give you an estimate on a plan you already have and are open to making revisions to it if needed. Please email your plans at info@ecolandscape.net and we can set up a meeting with you to review all of the details and prepare a bid for you.
