Eco Landscape Modern Hardscapes

MODERN HARDSCAPES

Eco Landscape specializes in modern hardscapes, outdoor rooms and low voltage landscape lighting.

Our list of hardscaping services includes driveways, patios, poured in place paver walkways, firepits, built-in seating, outdoor kitchens, decks, fencing, gates, retaining walls, garden walls and pergolas. Concrete, tile, flagstone, pavers and pebble are commonly used throughout our modern landscapes. And many of our hardscapes incorporate sand finish concrete, because it is elegant, simple, functional and affordable. Sand finish concrete has an architectural look and the sand finish can help to mask variations in color and staining over time. By adding gaps to reduce the size of each pad, the potential for cracking is reduced. Plus, it creates a more permeable area for rainwater to be absorbed into the landscape.

Firepits and outdoor kitchens often become the centerpiece of the outdoor rooms we design, as they are the central gathering spots for both relaxing at the end of the day, or entertaining with friends. Firepits can be sand finish, smooth or board pressed concrete, stucco, tiled or covered in stone. By custom building your firepit we can make it exactly the right shape, size and style for your space. Outdoor kitchens can be just a BBQ with countertop space, or a larger built-in kitchen that includes many elements such as a refrigerator, sink, smoker, pizza oven and counter seating. Outdoor kitchens create an indoor/outdoor living space that is great for entertaining, enhance your lifestyle and are another detail that gives your landscape style through the wide range of materials and accents that can be incorporated.

Landscape lighting will transform your landscape into a warm and welcoming oasis that is perfect for night-time entertaining. By illuminating pathways, staircases, trees, garden areas, patios and outdoor rooms at night, your space will become more inviting, sophisticated and functional - as well as being more safe and secure.

MODERN HARDSCAPES FAQS

1. What design style does Eco Landscape specialize in?

Eco Landscape’s signature style is modern simplicity. Modern simplicity of design, material palettes and plant selections. Limiting the number of different materials used within our designs allows our landscapes to become visually relaxing, and thoughtfully designed. Although it can be challenging at times...less is always more.

2. Why is design build better than just hiring a designer and then finding a contractor to build it?

Being a design build firm allows us to design with the builder’s input and build with the designer’s guidance. We have a unique synergy between the designer and builder (who are married) and our crew, all of whom have been with us for 10+ years. Our crew understands our design vision and they bring a level of expertise that improves every aspect of our installations. Although we try to address every aspect of the project in the design phase, things do sometimes need to be adjusted during the build and Jennifer and Brad address these modifications together with you.

3. What is the order of construction during the building process?

All of our projects begin with a design phase to put a conceptual plan into place for your project. Once we begin the build, our work starts underground with drainage and irrigation followed by grading and then moves to the hardscape - patios, walls, paver pathways, gates, fences, firepits, pergolas, decks etc. When the hardscape is complete we install the hedges, trees and garden areas and finish with the low voltage landscape lighting to compliment your new landscape.

4. Do you sub out the work?

No. We have our own crew and do everything in house with the exception of metal work. We do have a metal fabricator that works with us to handle all of this type of work if needed.

5. Do you build design plans that have been created by other landscape designers or landscape architects?

Yes. Please send us your designs, we are happy to provide you with a bid.

6. Can I get a bid for a project that has not been designed yet?

If your scope of work does not require a design or if you have a design from another designer - we would love to provide you with an estimate. But if a design is needed and you do not have one, that would be the first phase of work that is needed to create an estimate for you.

7. Does Eco Landscape build pools?

We do not build pools but we often design them in the landscape plans we create for our clients. We have pool builders that we frequently work with and can refer to you, or we can work in conjunction with any pool builder you choose.

8. Do you offer a warranty on work provided?

Yes. Our warranty varies based on the type of work but is consistent with industry standards.
